With the draw having just been completed, Max Allegri’s men will face last seasons finalists and winners of La Liga, Atletico Madrid, coached by Ex-Inter and Lazio player, Diego Simeone.
The Bianconeri will also face a potentially tricky tie against Greek champions Olympiakos before facing Swedish league winners FC Malmo.

How do you get away tickets? My brother always talks about how difficult it is to get away tickets when it’s played in the country you live in. Atletico Madrid: Lost ALOT of quality, in their first match in La Liga they were terrible against Vallecano and were lucky to get a 0-0 draw. If they have a bit of a tough schedule around the time we play them we should easily take them. Heck we should beat them anyway no matter the situation.
Olympiacos: They are Greeks. Enough said, right Marc? 😀 If we don’t beat them Marc will go insane we can’t have that so Juve will win this. Well i don’t know much about them, but what i do know is that they have Affelay. Never broke through at Barca, was used as scum by them and had to rot on the bench. He accepted that for the sole reason of being at Barca, the bragging rights and the money. That’s the level Olympiacos strives for apparently. We should be ashamed if we don’t win this.
Malmo FF: I don’t think many words need to be said about this, we have better players and we should easily win this, normally. Have fun at the game, Hanna 🙂

Seems like your underestimating athletico, dont forget they are the reigning la liga champs and have invested well this summer with the acquisitions of greizmann and mandzukic. Judging them on one game is foolish. Nonetheless we should beat them and win the group fairly easily.
Exactly the last line. What i wrote is based on logic alone. Obviously it’s impossible to predict what will happen and Atletico are indeed reigning La Liga champs and losing CL finalists. Yet Mandzukic is not as good as Diego Costa imo, atleast not yet. Might be a good thing that we meet them in the group stage because we might play them with a Mandzukic looking for the right form. I’d judge them on more matches than just one, but one match is all we have right now and they were really poor in that match. 2nd half atleast, i didn’t see much from 1st half. Griezmann didn’t impress at all yet at Atletico, but he will probably get better as the season progresses. Again a good thing we meet them in the group stage.
That said, i am a big fan of Diego Simeone and his enthusiasm and i do believe he can bring any team to another level.
Beating Atletico in Spain is not the easiest task in the world so we should try to get a wide win at home if possible and then hope that Olympiacos might get some points from them.
Personally i am happy with second place Atletico are too strong anyway.

I can never forget them, that’s why i said ”normally”. That wasn’t normal that was pure underestimation. I’m actually kinda worried about Malmo, but maybe Allegri aproaches this better. He usually did pretty decent with Milan in the CL untill he met Barca.
Knowing Greek football well let me tell you, Olympiacos are very strong at home and very few teams can win there. Actually almost all of their home defeats in the CL took place in the first game of the competition when they are not still at 100% due to the Greek league starting late. This year it started earlier but their team is still incomplete so they won’t be ready for the premiere.
Atletico is playing them first game there and they should probably win it. And that puts us into trouble because when we play them they will be in full form and again, they are very hard to beat in Greece. I will be very happy with a draw in Piraeus and 4 points against them in general.
I’d say we start by trying to eliminate Olympiacos from their chances for second place and then look at first place and Atletico.
After last year can we really afford to get cocky? Olympiacos qualified from their group and we didn’t so if we don’t respect them we are in for a great deal of trouble. They are a better team than Galatasaray in my opinion and i know the teams well.
Malmo is another story, no experience whatsoever and not much quality. Losing points against them would require a suicide but still they too should be taken seriously.
Smaller teams have grown the last couple of years and if we face them thinking like that we will relive last year’s disaster.
Every team should be taken serious. Always in any sport. It bit us too many times already and like i said my post was build on just logic. Olympiacos impressed me last season against United, but then United proved they were shit in every competition. Other than Affelay i don’t really know any Olympiacos player, but it didn’t make them look good that they purchased him because he has been out of form for years now. Ruining a potential dutch NT carreer for money on the Barca bench. I hope for them they don’t use him in the CL unless he gets his PSV form back, which i doubt he will after so many years.
I do believe you that Olympiacos can be very hard to beat at home.
