Mattia De Sciglio says it’s an “honour” to play alongside the champions at Juventus.

The 24-year-old full back spoke to JTV about his first impressions of being at the club and the importance of working with Max Allegri again.

“I started playing at full-back in the AC Milan youth academy and I established myself in this position in the Primavera squad, before making the transition to the first team.” He told JTV

“It was important for me to be reunited with Allegri, who showed great confidence in me at Milan. Even though there were a lot of youngsters, he helped me to keep focused and keep my feet on the ground.

“Why Juve? Juventus are a top team in Italy and in Europe, a team where I will have to give it my all in every training session, in order to secure a starting position. It is an honour to share the dressing room with the great champions that are here, some of whom I already know from the national team and are also great people.

“The Allianz Stadium is very impressive, I have already played at the stadium as an opponent. You can feel the presence of the fans and it’s very powerful. It is a strong point for us, no doubt.

“Saturday’s game will not be easy, Chievo are very organised. We will have to enter the field with the right mind-set to take home three points, and only after can we think about Barcelona. The league will be more difficult than usual, as our opponents have strengthened.”
