Juventus are looking to close a deal for Liverpool midfielder Emre Can within the next week.

The German international has reportedly agreed a verbal deal to join the Bianconeri in June, however Juventus are keen for the player to sign a pre-contract agreement to avoid any bidding wars in the summer.

Gazzetta dello Sport report that Juve are looking to hold a meeting within the next seven days to get a contract signed while Can’s agent Reza Fazeli has given his word to The Old Lady that there are no substantial talks with any other clubs.

Despite this, it’s suggested that Manchester City and a number of other Premier League clubs are interested in the player, considering the English sides can only approach the player in the final month of his contract with Liverpool.

The Bianconeri have reportedly offered Can a salary of €5m per season and heavy favourites to sign the player, however things may change if an official agreement is not reached soon.
