Juventus FC were the big winners at the Gran Gala del Calcio picking up team of the year while 7 players were named in the best XI.

Voting for the event was provided by the AIC – the Italian Players’ Association.

Juventus were voted Team of the Year, while Gigi Buffon, Kwadwo Asamoah, Andrea Barzagli, Paul Pogba, Pirlo, Arturo Vidal and Carlos Tevez joined the seasons ‘Best XI.’

Andrea Pirlo was singled out as Player of the Year thanks to his performances for the Bianconeri, winning the award for the 3rd season in a row.

Juve youngsters past and present were also singled out for praise as Ciro Immobile won the award as best right-sided striker and Capocannoniere following his season at Torino, while Daniele Rugani was voted as best Serie B player for his exploits at Empoli.

Antonio Conte received the award as Coach of the Year while reminding reporters “I owe everything to the players and the club”.
