Juventus are preparing to bring Simone Zaza to Turin, should Sebastain Giovinco leave the club in January.

The Bianconeri retain a buyback option for Zaza, despite selling their half of his contract to Sassuolo last summer for €7.5 million.

La Stampa report that Juve are prepared to use that option and buy the player outright for €15 to bring him to Turin during the January transfer. The 23-year-old Italy International has scored seven goals and provided one assist in his 14 Serie A games for the Neroverdi so far this season.

With Sebastian Giovinco confirmed to leave the club at the end of the season, Juventus director Beppe Marotta is reportedly working to end the player’s contract earlier than June so he can join Toronto in February or March.

With the transfer window closing on February 2, it’s believed that if Sassuolo are in a ‘safe’ position by then, they would allow Zaza to make the move to Juventus.
