Juventus are ever closer to agreeing a contract extension with Brazilian left-back Alex Sandro.
Sandro was the subject of a sustained bid from Chelsea in the summer and elected to turn down the opportunity to play in the Premier League in favour of remaining in Turin.
Initial reports in April suggested the left-back was very happy at Juventus and had no intention of leaving the club. The Bianconeri were working on renewing his contract before the summer transfer window opened, however no agreement was reached.
Tuttosport report that the players entourage and Juve executives will be meeting soon to discuss a new deal which will see his contract renewed until 2022, a further two-years added to his existing contract which ends in 2020. A new salary is also expected to be agreed which will see the 26-year-old earn €5m as well as certain performance related bonuses.
