Juventus have released a statement confirming the injury to Paula Dybala with a full assessment due in the coming days.

La Joya pulled up in the Bianconeri’s 1-0 victory over Cagliari yesterday, immediately signalling to the bench that he would need to be substituted.

Reports from Gazzetta Dello Sport and Sky Sport Italia guestimate that he could be out for 30-40 days, but the club have since given an announcement of their own via the official website:

“The player underwent an MRI scan this morning. It showed a distractive lesion to the right thigh flexors which, with caveats relating to the earliness of the assessment, can be defined as being mild to medium.

“The player will immediately start rehabilitative care and his prognosis will be better assessed in the coming days.”
