Juventus started well but the first chance fell to Milan’s El Shaarawy with the youngster latching onto a Daniele Bonera cross-field pass, but flashing his shot across the face of goal.
Marcelo Estigarribia made a lively start and the Paraguyuan had 2 great early chances but fired both wide. Emanuele Giaccherini’s deflected shot looked set to sneak under the crossbar but keeper Marco Amelia did well to tip the shot over the post.
Juventus continued to look the better side and the Bianconeri confirmed their dominance when they took the lead early in the second half. Amelia was at full stretch to stop Marco Borriello’s angled drive but was powerless to stop Caceres from tapping in to an open goal.
Milan stepped up a gear and Storari was at his best to deny Ibrahimovic a goal from his brilliantly placed free kick. Milan grew in confidence and equaliser came not long after with Massimo Ambrosini nodding down a Luca Antonini cross for El Shaarawy to side foot home.
Conte elected to switch around the attack and bought on Mirko Vucinic and Fabio Quagliarella for Borriello and Del Piero.
Ibrahimovic had the ball in the net not long after, but the linesman had already whistled for a handling offence outside the box where the striker had controlled the ball with his arm. In the follow up, Ibra was quick to pounce on a defensive error from Barzagli but Chiellini was on hand to clear the danger.
Caceres marked his return to Juve with a spectacular winner, first pouncing on a poor clearance before curling a magnificent finish into the top corner, leaving Amelia rooted to the spot. |
