Juventus are apparently giving serious consideration to making a bid for Flamengo striker Adriano this summer.
The 28-year-old Brazil international intimated yesterday that he is ready to return to Europe little less than a year after he left Inter for personal reasons.
Il Corriere dello Sport understands that Juventus sent chief scout Renzo Castagnini to South America on a general fact finding mission last Friday and that he will watch Adriano along with several other players over the next month.
The Bianconeri want to grasp whether Adriano has finally put his issues with partying and alcohol to rest before making their interest official.
Juventus believe Adriano could well be the perfect replacement for David Trezeguet who looks set to leave the Turin giants this summer.
Adriano scored 19 goals last season and became Brazil's Capocannoniere as Flamengo won the League title.
Roma are also reportedly interested in the former Parma and Fiorentina youngster, although the club's director of sport, Daniele Prade, has denied making any inquiries |
