Juventus are reeling after it emerged that Brazilian striker Amauri faces almost a month on the sidelines.
The 29-year-old who had just started to find a bit of form, scoring three goals in his last four matches, has suffered an injury to his left thigh.
Amauri hobbled off just minutes into last night's Europa League clash with Ajax, which ended 0-0, allowing Juventus to progress to the next round.
Tests performed this morning persuaded the Bianconeri's medical staff to recommend Amauri remain out of action for 20-25 days.
It's a big blow to Alberto Zaccheroni, as Amauri will now miss important games against Palermo, Fiorentina, Sampdoria and Napoli.
His thigh problem is the 50th separate injury Juventus have suffered this season. |
