Zac shrugs off Prandelli rumours

Friday 5th March, 2010 | Football Italia

Alberto Zaccheroni insists that it's not his problem if Fiorentina boss Cesare Prandelli continues to be linked with his job at Juventus.

The Bianconeri hired Zaccheroni in a caretaker role in January after Ciro Ferrara was dismissed following a dreadful couple of months in Turin.

He is not expected to get the job on a permanent basis when his existing deal expires in May, as Juventus look to make a big appointment.

Asked about the Prandelli rumours, Zaccheroni said: “It's not my problem. It's not a subject that regards me because I am here to realise objectives this season.

But, on a general level, I respect and admire the former Roma boss both as a person and as a coach. He is one of the best in circulation.”

Zaccheroni then looked ahead to Saturday's match against Fiorentina.

“Now all the games are very important for the simple fact that we find ourselves chasing Champions League qualification.

“We have to concentrate on ourselves, present ourselves in the best way possible in every game. Our objective is that of trying to always improve,” he concluded
