Juventus general manager Beppe Marotta insists that he will be active in the transfer market until the window closes on August 31.
Marotta has already wrapped up deals for five new players this summer and is being strongly linked with a move for Wolfsburg striker Edin Dzeko.
Earlier this week, Juventus Coach Gigi Del Neri said he still needs a left-back and a right winger ahead of next season.
Interviewed on the Juventus Channel, Marotta said: “The market is open until August 31. There could be changes, but the situation is on ice.
“The club has created a dynamic structure that has Del Neri as its point of reference. His daily work is acknowledged by the players and this is a good sign for the future.
“The second part of training camp has started very well both as far as logistics and organisation, which have been guaranteed by the local authority.
“The fans have reserved us a warm reception and this is a novelty for Varese. It means that the appeal of the club is high and that there is a consensus around the team.
“It’s a good sign in view of a season that will start soon with official games already like the preliminary stages of the Europa League.” |
