Juventus consider bid for Adebayor

Juventus are reportedly monitoring Emmanuel Adebayor’s situation at Manchester City very closely with a view to a bid this summer.

City are prepared to sell the Togo international for €17m in an effort to make space for Edin Dzeko, the Wolfsburg striker, or even Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

The 26-year-old striker has attracted interest from French champions Marseille who are looking to signal their ambition with a big name signing.

Roberto Mancini apparently no longer wants Adebayor in City’s squad while the player himself also finds it difficult working with the manager.

Adebayor currently earns €5.5m after tax at Eastlands, but he would be prepared to half his wage demands if City were to give him a golden handshake.

Juventus are in the market for a target man, but their No 1 choice remains Dzeko.

Adebayor would be a top class consolation prize if they miss out on the Bosnia international striker, but it remains to be seen what City choose to do.

The Premier League outfit look set to tie up a €35m deal with Inter for Mario Balotelli, taking their summer spending to a quite staggering €128.5m.
