Lyon have reacted with surprise to reports that Juventus are chasing Aly Cissokho. “He’s not for sale.”
The full-back has been paired with the Old Lady across various media on Monday, but the French club who own him insist he is going nowhere.
“I know nothing about this whatsoever,” Lyon director general Bernard Lacombe noted when quizzed about the whispers.
“The player is not on the transfer market and we are counting on him for the future. He is a player who we value and one who has just renewed his contract.”
The 23-year-old almost moved to Sere A last summer when Milan agreed a €13m fee with Porto.
However, the switch collapsed after the Rossoneri were left concerned by the results of his medical. Lyon subsequently swooped for the No 20.
Cissokho has also been paired with Galatasaray in recent weeks. |
