Fiorentina-Napoli, Bologna-Inter, Bari-Juventus, Roma-Cesena and Milan-Lecce are among the Week 1 games in Serie A on the weekend of August 28-29.

The fixtures for the 2010-11 season were drawn up this evening and it was the first since Serie A broke away from the Lega Calcio to form their own organisation.

New Juventus boss Gigi Del Neri faces his former Sampdoria players in the second round on September 12.

Roma-Inter will be the star game of Week 5 on September 26, followed immediately by a Champions League tie and then Inter-Juventus in Week 6.

Milan-Juventus is in Week 9 on the weekend of Halloween, October 31, at San Siro, while Napoli-Palermo is in Week 15 with Edinson Cavani facing his former club.

The Genoa derby, Milan-Roma and Fiorentina-Inter are all in Week 17, on the weekend of December 19 and the final round before the Winter break.

Week 12 will be spectacular, as the weekend of November 14 includes Inter-Milan, Juventus-Roma, Palermo-Catania and Lazio-Napoli.

The final round on May 22 has some high-profile clashes, with Juventus-Napoli, Inter-Catania, Udinese-Milan and Roma-Sampdoria.

There will be rest weekends on September 5, October 10 and March 27, plus midweek rounds on Wednesday September 22, Wednesday November 10, Thursday January 6 and Wednesday February 2.

The Christmas break lasts from December 19 to January 6.

The draw was held at Palazzo Mezzanotte in Milan under the guidance of Lega President Maurizio Beretta.

However, FIGC President Giancarlo Abete was not invited “as a sign of protest against the limit on non-EU players. We wanted to highlight that for us this matter is not over.”

The full draw is to follow.
