Although it's not official yet, it seems almost certain that Diego will be leaving the club at some stage in the next few days. The debate as to whether the club were right to sell him will continue for a long time after the official announcement, but it seems the majority of fans would have been far happier to see the Brazilian stay.

Did Diego flop at Juventus ? In my opinion, the answer is a simple 'no' . He played in a poor Juventus side under a tactician that wasn't fully accustomed to the demands of a Serie A side like the Bianconeri. Worse still, he was used in a 4-3-1-2 system that was hopelessly ineffective against Serie A sides that simply crowded the playmaker out of the game, relying largely on defensive numbers to nullify the linkup between Juve's midfield and front men.

It's too late to dwell on what could have been this season - Lets see what happens in the coming campaign and keep a close eye on Wolfsburg. In the meantime, here's a collection of Diego Wallpapers and Videos along with a poll on whether the club made the right choice to sell him. I'll keep this page updated when we have more news on the pending sale....

UPDATE: 27/08/2010 - It's official - Diego is no longer a Juventus player.
