Once again, i've had a read through the dailies to provide you with a comprehensive, if brief, roundup of Juventus transfer BS/news:
Diego Lugano and Matías Silvestre
There's no denying that Juventus are in the market for a centre back and with talk of the *possible* sale/exchange of Leonardo Bonucci, you'd guess Marotta is going to need to move swiftly. Diego Lugano is the first name being linked with a potential move having plied his trade at Fenerbahce for the last 5 seasons. His release clause is just €3m and the Uruguayan was heavily linked with a move to Juventus last summer before Marotta opted for Bonucci.
Meanwhile, reports suggest negotiations are ongoing with Catania for defender Matías Silvestre. A move for the centre-back would see Frederic Sorensen going to Sicily on loan for a season as part of any prospective deal.
Storari too pricey for PSG ?
It's old news now, but worth repeating nonetheless -PSG were enquiring after Marco Storari on loan for a season. Juventus preferred to sell the player outright for €3m....which they found too steep. Bizarre.
Vucinic and Rossi - Striker strife
More news this morning that Atletico will use the funds from the sale of Sergio Aguero to sign Giuseppe Rossi from Villarreal. According to various papers, Juventus have tabled a bid of €25m + €5m, in bonuses - Villarreal are holding out for €30m + bonuses. On a side note, some additional news on the story from yesterday linking Juve with a player swap for Mirko Vucinic - The club are prepared to offer €15m with no talk of Marchisio being included, while Roma want €18m for the striker.
Rolando and Bastos
Both Rolando and Michel Bastos continue to be talked about as possible targets for Juventus. Peppino Tirri, agent of Rolando had this to say: "With Juventus, there have been contacts in the past but I have not heard for some time". As for Bastos, Parisi (agent) was quoted along the lines of negotiations are still taking place but there is interest from Chelsea and Inter. |
