Daily Juventus News Roundup
Monday 5th September, 2011 | Juvefc.com

A daily roundup of all the latest Juventus news, courtesy of the lovely chaps over at Football Italia.

Michel Platini: “Are Juve ready to begin a new cycle? I think so.”

The UEFA president Michel Platini has shared his thoughts on his former club and the impressive new stadium: “Thanks to the new stadium, a new cycle can begin at Juventus. It was very important to build this new facility for Juventus, which is beautiful, and something necessary for all teams to have.

“Are Juve ready to being a new cycle? I think so.”

Juve are behind Milan and Inter....but ahead of Napoli, Roma and Lazio

Fabio Quagliarella is sure that Juve are a stronger and more competitive side following their summer transfer campaign. The striker had this to say: “We’re certainly stronger and the side is better. There is more experience and quality now. Our overall technical level is higher than it was before. The championship will be more balanced. There are a lot of clubs who are built to fight near the top. To be honest, the Milan teams are ahead of everyone else, but we are behind them with Napoli, who have bought well, Lazio, Roma…”

Juve to agree Rhodolfo fee

Report's suggest Sao Paulo centre back Rhodolfo has agreed personal term's with Juventus with a view to a January move, however, the club's are yet to agree a fee for the player. Football Italia.net suggest that Sao Paulo are looking for €10m, while Juventus are hoping to net him for a fee closer to €6m.

Amauri staying at Juventus

That's right, everyone's favourite Italian-Brazilian-Italian is set to stay at Juventus for the last season of his contract. Despite assorted offers from various Turkish sides, Marseille and Palermo, the Brazilian has once again expressed his desire to stay at Juventus and prove himself. His charming agent had plenty to say on the matter:

“Every player has the right to accept or turn down a transfer,” agent Giampiero Pocetta told Sky Sport Italia.

“The player has evaluated the offers on the table, thanked everyone, but decided to stay at Juventus.

“It is inelegant of some to use Amauri’s position for their own ends. He just wants to stay at Juventus and prove himself with hard work in training every single day.

“After all, every athlete has the right to work and train in the club he is contracted to. At this moment I think we need collaboration between clubs and players, as this digging in of heels is helping nobody.”
