Juventus have signed Daniele Rugani from Empoli, according to Sky Sport Italia.

The highly rated 20-year-old had been the subject of interest from Arsenal, amongst others, despite being co-owned by both Juve and Empoli. According to Italian journalist, Alfredo Pedulla, the Gunners had followed the highly-rated centre-back during his spell in Serie B and were considering a move for the player.

The apparent transfer talk has spurred Juve into action with the Bianconeri set to buy the remaining half of his contract from Empoli for €4 million. Rugani will remain at Empoli for the 2014/14 season and will return to Turin in the summer.
