Juventus have confirmed Paul Pogba is ruled out for at least 50 days with a muscular injury.

Pogba limped off during Juve’s 3-0 Champions League victory against Borussia Dortmund and is almost certain to miss the remainder of the season.

It was reported the French midfielder had a slight muscular problem in training on Monday but started the game regardless.

A statement on the clubs official website confirmed the injury and the expected recovery time:

“Paul Pogba this afternoon underwent an MRI scan after coming off midway through the first half of last night’s Champions League match with Borussia Dortmund in Germany.” Read a statement on Juventus.com

“The scan revealed a grade two myotendinous junction tear of his biceps femoris. He is expected to return to competitive action within the next 50 days. “
