Max Allegri has encouraged Juventus supporters to ‘live every moment’ this season while comparing the current Juventus team to ‘Michael Jordan’s Chicago Bulls.’
The Bianconeri Coach is aiming to take Juve to a record-breaking sixth consecutive league title and this is his primary focus when the team takes to the pitch.
“This is a year for us in which enthusiasm must remain until the end.” Allegri told Tuttosport.
“When I step on the pitch I must have the number six in my head, not the formation played, but the six consecutive Scudetti we can win.
“The fans at the stadium must have a bursting desire to celebrate a title that would be legendary.
“They must live every moment, every match. It is not a trivial thing to win six titles in a row.
“It was not trivial to win 25 out of 26 games last year. In the summer, I sat down & thought about it, you don’t realise it till later on.
“It is also not trivial to win 10 games out of 12, like we have done so far this season.
“It’s these things that football fans should rejoice in from time to time, without taking anything for granted.
“Because all together, we can become legends, in the same way Michael Jordan’s Chicago Bulls were.
“Juventus are Juventus, Barcelona are Barcelona and Bayern Munich are Bayern Munich.
“We have to work on our strengths which are tactics and a little bit of craftiness because, without taking anything away from others, we Italians are more awake.”
Allegri went to discuss the ongoing criticism aimed at his players, much of which he believes to be unfair.
“Hernanes is criticised even in the face of good games. Players are killed because they are expected to do things that are outside of their abilities.
“How can you ask Evra to make the runs of Alex Sandro up and down the flanks? Patrice has other qualities.
“At the end of the championship last year we went to the club and we said: ‘The player we need this year in order to strengthen the team is Higuain’.”
“Gonzalo is a player that guarantees goals, he’s a solid attacker. The club were really good. Juve are fantastic at forward planning.
“Right now we’re a team that does not have a fixed formation. There just isn’t one.
“We are unpredictable and this is an advantage: being less ordered gives us less points of reference.
“Who will be the protagonist for Juventus in 2017? It will be Pjaca.”
Yes hype the sudetti for another CL loss/flop.Anyways cant blame Allegri.Doing t best what he can.Its a pity that world best midfield was destroyed and now we are left with Khedira sturaro hernanes etc…Marchisio is extremely injuryprone.Pjanic has failed to fill in Pogba role rightly.Allegri clearly very angry about Pogba sale in today’s Tuttosport interview.
Morata huge loss for Juve’s CL campaign also.
That’s just it. Before the season started it was all about how Juventus was gonna bring home the CL trophy this year and that the 6th straight scudetti, Copa Italia and Italian Super Cup was just icing on that “CL cake”. Icing that we already had in the pantry before the season even started.
Now that Allegri and the rest of the inner circle has realized that this team can’t go head 2 head with the European Giants they are shifting focus from the European glory to hyping up with an achievement it would be to win a 6th straight scudetti. Sure the fans(including my self and everyone else on this site) would be proud and filled with joy. But the league isn’t that hard to win, let’s be honest about that. We haven’t played well in any game thus far and we sit on first place in the league.
We have all identified the problem, which some of us did even before the summer mercato window closed. To wait until the last day to secure at least one good midfielder is bad planing and probably a feeling of world domination when we secured Higuain. Did they expect the guy to take care of the midfield and bag goals or just the later?
Because if they brought him in for the sole reason of scoring goals, who was gonna provide him with the assists?
Khedira who Allegri is trying to form into some kind of Kaka, Lemina who they think is going to be the next Vidal, Hernanes who used to have a brilliant shot from distance and possessed excellent technique but can’t dribble around a parked Fiat these days, or maybe Pjanic who Allegri is trying to turn into the new Pirlo?
I get it. He is doing the best he can with what he got. But at least play the midfielders in a fashion that they can master and “experiment” against the bottom half teams in the league.
I know that this is just scratching the surface, and that there is much more that can be said and discussed. I just hope that when the January window opens, Marotta and Paratici already have identified the target/targets. So that this midfield can get a lift and boost the whole team.
Mate i get you very valid point.Allegri needs technical players with power.E.g Pjanic got bullied by Nzonzi khedira is a downgrade to vidal.we miss khedira in our mid
