It has been reported for some time that Juventus had been closing in on the deal to sign Paul Pogba from Manchester United on a free transfer again, but he could well be on his way to Paris Saint-Germain now.
The Old Lady have been growing in confidence of a deal to bring Pogba back to Turin this summer, with him already confirmed to be leaving Old Trafford at the end of his contract. We could well be set for a late shock however with reports that he could wait to see if Zinedine Zidane is set to become manager at Paris Saint-Germain, with him keen to then make a move to the French capital instead.
RMC reports that ZZ ‘loves’ Paul, and that he has previous attempted to sign the Red Devils star for former side Real Madrid, and he could well prove vital in the future of Pogba.
This would be a devastating blow for Juve if this was to collapse, as he could well have been exactly what we needed to bring us back into the title race for next season.
Pogba’s signing almost felt a little too good to be true with how easy it seemed for us to close in on his free transfer, but after seemingly getting so close it will be painful to lose out now.
