Juventus were without 10 first team players for their 2-0 victory over Cagliari but 19-year-old striker Moise Kean was on hand to secure the three points.

Juventus Player Ratings

Tek: A really surprising night as he didn’t have a single save to make and looked like a spectator for large portions of the game – Marshaled his defence well as he always does and was vocal on the set-pieces where Cagliari normally threaten. 7.0/10

Leonardo Bonucci: Exceptional night on the pitch for the defender as he found himself in acres of space to head home. On the replay, it looked an easy effort but it was actually some distance out and he took it well, nonetheless. Dictated play from deep with some lovely overhead balls and looked utterly in control in the centre of defence. 7.5/10

Giorgio Chiellini: Commanding at the back and kept Pavoletti at bay with his usual defensive wiles, drawing fouls and closing space. Dominant in the air where Cagliari typically pose their biggest threat, winning 5 aerial challenges. 7.0/10

Martin Caceres: Never truly looked under any pressure and seemed to fare better for playing in a back three again with two experienced heads next to him – Unfortunate that he was taken off with a suspected hamstring injury. 6.5/10

Mattia De Sciglio: Started a little quietly over on the right as most of Juve’s pressure came down the left-flank. Improved as the game went on and came into his own when he pushed forward. Let nothing past him at the back and seemed to be more confident, knowing that Caceres was tucked in behind him. 7.0/10

Alex Sandro: Was the focal point for the early Juve pressure as the team looked to push down the left. Had some decent crosses into the box and made two tackles and two clearances at the back. Solid.  6.5/10

Midfield

Emre Can: Quickly becoming an invaluable part of the team as he seamlessly transitioned from playing the all-action midfield role to being a rock at the heart of the defence. Showing lots of grinta in his game, fighting for loose balls and not backing out of tackles while playing a key part in the Juve goal. 8.0/10

Miralem Pjanic: Two key passes, two tackles and three interceptions, all while delivering one his better recent performances. At the heart of the midfield, he dictated play, looked to bring in his teammates and was much improved throughout. 7.5/10

Blaise Matuidi: Another player who seemingly is returning to his better form, just at the right time. Lots of energy to his performance and his passing was excellent as he ended the night with three key passes overall. A constant runner from deep and a handful for the Cagliari midfield and defence.  7.0/10

Attack

Moise Kean: Endured a horrible night overall, but he kept working to create space and chances. Had a half-chance which went wide before brilliantly converting late on to secure the three points and take his tally to 6 goals in the space of a month. A remarkable period for the youngster who is handling all the attention impeccably. 7.0/10

Federico Bernardeschi: Great work on the opening goal and his positioning and movement can;t really be faulted – on the other hand, his end product was lacking and too often, his shots were way off the mark as he looked to score from range instead of bringing teammates in. 6.0/10

Substitutes

Rodrigo Bentancur: A tidy performance from the youngster who managed two key passes while giving a better account of himself than in recent weeks. Improved. 6.5/10
