could be. i mean 30mil is what i’d demand to sell him and usually players aren’t worth for what they’re sold. if the 37mil is true though, i’d want 40mil for llorente

didn’t man city pay like 35 mil for Alvaro Negredo. they paid alot, if thats the valuation, then yes, Llorente is worth 37.

        • Avatar
          tpick February 8, 2014 at 8:03 pm

Key words: MAN CITY. They overpay for everyone. Negredo’s value was at like 20m and his team held out and got lucky that Man City are loaded and were willing to pay to please their new coach.

Why I think Vidal is the best CM in the world:

    Vidal
    Goals: 16 in 26 apps
    Tackles: 4.6 per game
Assists: 5 assists in 26 games
    Key passes: 1.8 per game

Compare that other CMs who play like him:

    Yaya Toure
    Goals: 13 in 27 apps
    Tackles: 1.6 per game
Assists: 4 assists in 27 games
    Key passes: 1 per game

    Modric
    Goals: 1 in 22 apps
    Tackles: 2.3 per game
Assists: 6 assists in 22 games
    Key passes: 1.6 per game

    Schweinsteiger
    Goals: 2 in 13 apps
    Tackles: 1.4 per game
Assists: 1 assists in 13 games
    Key passes: 1.1 per game

    All stats according to Whoscored.

I don’t argue, he is the best, but what exactly is a “key pass”?

      • Avatar
        Hanna February 7, 2014 at 7:56 pm

maybe an assist, i don’t know

      • Avatar
        JuventusVidal February 7, 2014 at 8:00 pm

a pass that was involved in the build up to a goal. for example, against cagliari vidal provided a through ball to lichtsteiner, lichtsteiner then passed the ball to llorente who tapped it in. vidal and lichtsteiner both got key passes.

        • Avatar
          Peter February 7, 2014 at 9:43 pm

Okay, I guessed something similar, but still I think this is a little bit subjective to decide. Are all of these count as key passes, or only the one before the assist?

I would say all from Wilshere’s first pass.

I guess it’s a pass that goes through and should be a goal but isn’t scored. Basically an assist that should have happened but didn’t. Or like JuventusVidal said it’s a pass that leads up to the goal.

rumors saying we will be offloading quags, vucinic, and gio this summer. we can replace quags with immobile, bring in berardi for vucinic, and get another winger in place of gio.

    • Avatar
      BelgianJuventino February 7, 2014 at 9:27 pm

Yeah, Gio would probably used to get Cerci from Torino. Ventura loves Gio so it’s possible this might be a swap deal, with maybe some cash included. And Vucinic and Quags need to make the money for Cuadrado, or that’s what I read

      • Avatar
        JuventusVidal February 7, 2014 at 10:07 pm

I heard fiorentina like gio. Id much rather we get cuadrado over cerci

          • Avatar
            JuventusVidal February 8, 2014 at 12:36 am

berardi doesn’t do as well as a cf. he isn’t able to use his pace to same effect he is when he plays out wide. another reason i don’t want cerci is that he and berardi are very similar players and i prefer berardi over cerci

    • Avatar
      JuventusVidal February 7, 2014 at 8:02 pm

theyd be for 4-3-3. di maria has the work rate to prbly play in the 3-5-2 as a wingback but i think conte would rather play lichtsteiner there.

      • Avatar
        Hanna February 7, 2014 at 8:04 pm

and the 4-3-3 is for us to use against teams with the same tactic? and the 3-5-2 same thing?

        • Avatar
          JuventusVidal February 7, 2014 at 8:06 pm

4-3-3 is mainly for the CL and maybe here and there in the league. 3-5-2 is mainly for the teams in the league. It’ll really depend based on the team we play, much like in conte’s first season.

It’s Arsenal’s problem this season and the seasons before. Big Premier League matches. Idk what it is. They know how to handle small teams (although some wins were thanks to luck), but against big teams they have no clue whatsoever. But then in the CL they do play well against big teams, for example Bayern last season and this season Napoli and Dortmund.

100% Conte’s fault for playing Peluso. That was Peluso’s side of the field and he was nowhere to be seen. How do you leave someone that open on the wings in the last couple minutes of a game?

    • Avatar
      JuventusMalta1998 February 9, 2014 at 3:54 pm

it was the teams fault, we could have ended the game WAY before the 90th minute, the team simply switched off, no point blaming Conte

      • Avatar
        tpick February 9, 2014 at 3:55 pm

If the team switched off then thats Conte’s fault as well. Hes the coach, hes responsible for the team. And who switches off at 2-1? nobody.

        • Avatar
          DutchJuve February 9, 2014 at 3:56 pm

You might aswell blame the whole club then. You’re now looking for things to blame Conte. Sure he’s part of the draw, but not only him. He’s part of the team and it’s a teams effort. 12 people are to blame here. Maybe a few exceptions.

          • Avatar
            tpick February 9, 2014 at 3:56 pm

If Conte doesnt put Peluso in, Asamoah stay out who is far more mobile and sticks to the wings when he plays. That means that man isnt left open.

Listen, let’s see the bright side here, we’re still with the same point advantage as before the game even though we could’ve extended it, no point hiding that. We had the opportunity to see Osvaldo play, which he did extremely well, and we should take this draw as a lesson, as we did with the fiore loss, NEVER SWITCH OFF

Once Chiellini came off we stopped attacking and tried defending. Proves how important Chiellini is because he is such a leader at the back. A defense of Caceres Bonucci and Ogbonna isnt that good. Im sorry but im not a fan of Ogbonna. Hes pretty overrated to me

    • Avatar

He’s not overrated, he’s very good – kid never gets a chance to play and when he does, it’s at a time that comes completely out of left field – Conte too rigid in his player selection, too many quality guys not getting enough time. That’s an issue on many top teams of course, but I do not think Ogbonna is at all overrated.

i dont understand how a club that hasnt done jack in europe could be so complacent. i can get over poor results, but its increasingly frustrating when we drop points because of idiotic reason like being arrogant or complacent. its not right, stay humble and keep your feet on the ground. Roma are just 9 points away from us with a game at hand, anything can still happen. do we need to lose the scudetto to be humbled? this foolish mentality will get us NO WHERE in europe. wake up Conte and players.

Apparently we’re going to have a lot of changes in attack for next season. We’ll sell vucinic, quags, and gio. If we keep osvaldo, then we’ll bring back 2 of immobile, berardi, and gabbiadini. If we dont sign osvaldo, we’ll sign another striker with No. 1 choice being mandzukic. If we have to get anyone from bayern, I want it to be shaqiri. However, kroos has been frozen out of the squad and apparently we’re going to make a 15mil bid for him. He’s a great player but he can’t play outwide. I havent seen much of him so idk if he can play as a cm or not.

        Papilaya(John)™★★★ February 15, 2014 at 11:47 am

i wouldnt even consider 100 mill. 150-200 is the very very least id accept, but because were in absolutely no rush to sell him, i d hope the club would only accept something something from 200-300 mill. i know it sounds crazy, but they 100 mill for bale and Vidal is at least 10x the player bale is. theyre lucky were not charging them 1000 mill :p

yea but Vidal is probably the most mainstream midfielder in the world right now and considering that they kinda screwed their selves over by claiming Vidal is their #1 target(allegedly), im sure we could push them far. keep in my mind im just speaking hypothetically here people, i dont wanna sell Vidal… but if a tasty offer like 200 mill would come around, i would be TEMPTED to sell

          • Avatar
            Peter February 15, 2014 at 12:29 pm

I would sell him for 200 million too, but I can’t see them pay that much.
According to wikipedia, they hold the record for the top three highest transfer fees paid, and that three is Bale, Cristiano Ronaldo and Zidane. All three of them are capable of spectacular things in front of goal and that makes them expensive, while Vidal is “simply” great at everything, that’s why (IMHO) he is being mentioned up around those.

            https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transfer_%28association_football%29#Highest_fees

Checking the rest of the list, you can see that the first guy who probably didn’t shine with his goals or tricks alone is Özil or Mendieta, and the next one is Buffon.
Strikers and alike worth more, and I always knew Real as a team who wants to entertain their fans above everything else, so I just can’t see them paying 200 millions for a “simple box-to-box” player.

what ive been reading about Pogba:

earlier today, rumors said that he has become depressed and has been talking to Bonucci and his agent(im not sure where the depression has came from)

and i just read that Pogba was getting yelled at the most on monday and Conte accused him of becoming complacent.
