Juventus ultras are expected to continue their protest against ticket prices in the weeks ahead, despite Juve’s must win match against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League.

Corriere di Torino reports that the Bianconeri risk playing the second-leg of their tie against Los Colchoneros in defeaning silence as the die-hard supporters continue their war of words with the club management.

The Curva Sud intend to stop chanting on 12 March as well as at the way trip to Naples and the match against Udinese in protest at the increase in ticket prices since the start of the season.

The hike in prices as been as high as 30% in some cases while similar price increases have been applied around Italy when hosting the Bianconeri.

The report goes on to suggest that ultra’s are actively seeking to stop other fans chanting in support of the team, as well as continuing their own protest against the Juve hierarchy.

For a more in depth and reasoned explanation behind the protest’s, I would recommend having a read of Adam Digby’s piece in the Independent.
