Juventus wants to restructure its midfield after the embarrassing exit from the Champions League at the group stages.
The Bianconeri struggled in that position last season and bolstered it with Paul Pogba and Leandro Paredes in the last transfer window.
These new signings were expected to make the team better, but Pogba has not started playing, while fans want more from Paredes.
Juve is now targeting a revamp in that part of their team, according to a report on Calciomercato.
The report reveals they have an interest in the signature of Sergej Milinkovic –Savic of Lazio, Houssem Aouar of Lyon and Davide Fratessi of Sassuolo.
The Bianconeri consider these players good enough to fill important roles in their midfield and make it better.
It remains to be seen if their clubs will allow any of these players to leave them in January, but the Bianconeri can establish contact and seal the deal in the summer.
Juve FC Says
We need new players in our midfield and that was clearly evident in the game against Benfica as the Portuguese side continuously breached the defence through that position.
These names are some of the finest around, but they must be players who will fit into the system of Max Allegri before we sign them.
Pointless. We can use the players we have. its the tactical approach to the game. Our play is outdated and players used ineffectually. Low block mentality is killing this team. TIFOIRL has a great youtube video showing the advancement of their approach from much like under their previous coach (which is very similar to our current approach) and their current one. Changing the midfield will not improve this team.
the advancement of newcastle in the video. sorry forgot that
Lol keep lying to yourself that we can use the players we have or that they are good enough.
They aren’t and even 3 coaches can’t get these players to play any better than they do at the moment.
Stop living in denial or in some Football Manager fantasy.
Bro. They keep bringing in players and the play and results are the same. What’s aouar going to do when he’s in his other half trying to play on the counter and just constant crosses from the wing? He’s not winning any headers. If anyone is playing football manager it’s you thinking buying new players every window will change the results.
GIGI is Slowlegri’s newest dick rider…he blames everyone but his master..it’s the same in every post..
It does not matter who we bring in if we keep playing like we are stuck in year 1859
I’m personally sick and tired of Juventus being linked with every midfielder on the planet. Juventus needs to focus on its youth who are damn good enough but simply not trusted and developed properly by the clown Allegri. It’s absolutely criminal to have loaned out Rovella, moronic to play McKennie ahead of Miretti, idiotic to loan out both Pellegrini and Cambiaso but keep De Sciglio and Sandro and disgraceful that Gatti, Fagioli and Soule have not been given more playing time. The club needs to focus on players that want to play for the shirt, not over-aged, overrated and expensive mercenaries. This club is screwed.
You hit the nail on the head. A lot of the players are simply going thru the motions at the club and have little hunger. Iling had it against benfica. Mirretti had it at the beginning of the season, then regressed – my personal opinion is that allegri is destroying him much like what he did to locatelli. Also remember that allegri was the one that pushed pirlo out the door when me managed at Milan. Dude wouldn’t know talent if it bit him in the face.
Well said Frankie…it’s all cause of Slowlegri the leech and bringing him back was Agnelli’s original sin.
Midfield is fine, please focus on the defense.
Out : Rugani, Alex Sandro, De Sciglio
Of the current rooster only Locatelli has the potential to be of juve standard. Pogba has the qualities but uncertain if he has the legs. There are some youngsters which needs the right condition to grow. The others must be sold. Allegri`s play mostly suite midfielders with physical features like Matuidi and Rabiot. Allegri have had a lot to do with the poor performence of the juve midfield in recent years because of his style of play.
