Juventus will offer Dybala a similar contract to Vlahovic

March 19, 2022 - 8:00 pm

In the next few days, the saga that has been dragging for over a year could reach its final chapters.

According to Tuttosport via ilBianconero, Juventus directors will sit on the same table with Paulo Dybala’s agents on Monday, as the two parties try to reach an agreement over the player’s contract renewal.

As we all know by now, the Argentine’s current contract expires at the end of the season. Therefore, the two sides must find a compromise soon enough if they wish to extend their collaboration.

The source adds that the Bianconeri’s vice-president Pavel Nedved should be present in the meeting alongside sporting director Federico Cherubini and CEO Maurizio Arrivabene.

On the opposite side, Dybala will be represented by his agent Jorge Antun alongside Carlos Novel who’s responsible for the player’s image rights.

The report believes that the club will offer the striker similar figures to the ones earned by Dusan Vlahovic – that’s 7 million euros as net wages per season plus bonuses related to appearances, goals and assists.

The length of the proposed deal could be five years, or possibly four years with an option for a fifth.

Juve FC say

Even though Dybala was holding out for improved figures, he’s unlikely to receive it in the current circumstances.

For one, the club’s never-ending European struggles will leave their mark on the balance sheet. And on another note, his recurring injury problems suggest that Juventus can no longer fully bet on him, despite his unquestionable talent.

    Well. .
I helped the club win 5 Scudetti in a row, 4 Coppa Italia in a row (incl. 3 doubles in a row) & make an UCL final…

You’ll have to look at the attacking tridents Del Piero, Viall & Ravanelli and Platini, Rossi & Boniek, who won the UCL to find offensive players, who’s done better.

Looking at a legend like Ferrari, who also won 5 Scudetti in a row, to find anyone clise equaling what I helped win.

You’ll only pay me the same as the new forward, who has helped Juventus win nothing…

    That sounds fair, or something…

Would really like to keep Dybala. Make the offer strongly dependent on appearances… If he truly loves the club (and I think he does) and he backs his ability to stay fit then it shouldn’t be a problem.

…and that`s 7m more than he deserves. He HELPED that`s fine, where has been this season? last season? wednesday? should we keep every player in history that helped? we would have 70 year old players? his comments and actions after Udinese, were they from someone who wants to stay? No. Leave and be a sicknote somewhere else. His attitude and comments prove he doesn`t like being here any more, and this is already decided, this is just pr to go through the motions. He would have come out publicly and made positive comments about staying, where are they?? He is a poison just like ronno was in his last season. Get rid and move on now.

I support every player while they are playing for us, but his negotiation style for a contract has been to be `injured` when we needed that body on the field as others were really injured. Might be a theory, but his actions make people suspicious, some just can`t see that. Sorry to disagree but there it is, if we were all the same we`d be robots…and like I say he decided a season or two ago, and just running the contract down, there`s no way he wouldn`t have it sorted by now.
