Higuain looks almost certain to return to Argentina, given his recent travels back to his homeland to be with his sick mother, fuelling speculation that he could make a return to River Plate, the club where he made his name.
Pipita is in the last year of his contract so it seems unlikely that Juve will make a significant return from a potential sale, however his high salary could free up additional funds for the club as they look to reinforce in the summer.
In return, River may be prepared to offer Juventus first option on certain youth prospects for the future, similar to the deal that saw Carlos Tevez return to Boca Juniors.
In that deal, the Bianconeri secured Rodrigo Bentancur, a player who has flourished this season under coach Maurizio Sarri’s direction.
Meanwhile, Milik has just a year left on his Napoli contract and has yet to agree a contract extension with the club, despite their best efforts.
Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis recently confirmed that the Polish striker will likely leave the club this summer when speaking with Sky Sport Italia:
“Milik has always been on the market, since I’ve known the man, I’ve been asking him to extend his contract.
“He just looks at me and doesn’t reply. So at that point, you have to accept he has to leave.
“Milik will go to the highest bidder, because there will be no discounts for anyone. Otherwise, he risks staying at Napoli and will probably no longer be picked by the coach.”
Reports from Italy had suggested that Milik has no shortage of suitors with both Atletico Madrid and Tottenham Hotspur making advances to see if would be prepared to make the switch.
Despite their interest, Milik has reportedly agreed terms with Juventus over a contract and will make a move to Turin, either this summer, potentially in exchange for Federico Bernardeschi, or next year, as a free agent.
The Polish international has managed 48 goals in 4 seasons in Naples, however much of his career has been spent on the sidelines, following a string of injuries.
