Pavel Nedved says Patrik Schick reminds him of Zlatan Ibrahimovic when he first came to Juventus and confirms a potential transfer for the youngster is yet to take place.

The Bianconeri Vice-President spoke with Denik.cz and offered his thoughts on the upcoming Champions League final and the future of Czech sensation, Patrik Schick.

“How do we feel ahead of the Champions League final? The squad is calm, focused and do not feel big pressure.

“With that being said, I feel that sometimes we have to calm the excitement and euphoria.

“Real Madrid ? We have a good record against them and I hope we’ll continue with that on Saturday.

“Real is a team that has played the Champions League final something like 15 times and won 11,  so their numbers are incredible.

“I think Real Madrid is the best team in the world because they keep winning like crazy.

Nedved was asked about the prospect of playing in the National Stadium where the rood will be closed.

“I spoke about it with Welsh rugby players and it really isn’t a small detail. The humidity goes up and the players sweat a lot more.

“The match will be balanced and very difficult. It will be a celebration of football because both teams deserve to play in the final.

“How do I feel watching the big matches in the stands? To be honest, sometimes I feel sick after the match.

“My wife tells me that someday I will get a heart attack!

“It is so difficult for me. I can’t sit still and I tend to walk around a bit. It is psychically very demanding. The table has turned because I used to be exhausted, mainly physically, after the match.”

Nedved turned his attention to 21-year-old striker Patrik Schick who has been closely linked with a move to Juventus this summer.

“Patrik has had a wonderful season. Given the fact that he was born in 1996, he’s managed to do lots of great things. He’s scored 11 goals.

“We are not the only one club who is following him, though. There is interest from clubs in Germany, England, Spain and Italy.

“Schick has a great future in front of him. He is a footballer with a body perfectly ready to be strengthen. For now, Schick’s body is without muscles but you need to imagine him in two or three years.”

“He reminds me of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, because he was like this when he came to Juve. He didn’t have muscles either.

“Then Zlatan gained muscles and turned into a world class striker. Schick is also this type of striker – great feet, tall and fast.”

“If Patrik keeps improving himself he can turn into a world class striker as well.

“Schick’s transfer to Juventus? I cannot confirm it. Schick is still a Sampdoria player.

“The price is however clear because of his release clause. Anyone who is willing to activate it is able to buy him. It is a very simple transfer. All you have to do is convince the player to join you.”
