Juventus resolved a series of co-ownership deals before the deadline, but Domenico Berardi has been purchased by Sassuolo.
The Bianconeri had a number of players who were jointly owned with other teams, however these were all resolved before the deadline of 25th June.
Top of the list was Domenico Berardi who was expected to purchased outright by Juve, while remaining at Sassuolo on loan for the 2015/16 season.
Surprisingly, the Bianconeri announced that their 50% of the player was sold to Sassuolo for a fee of €10 million. A statement on the clubs official site confirmed the move:
“Juventus Football Club S.p.A. announces that it has finalised an agreement with U.S. Sassuolo Calcio S.r.l. for the termination in favour of Sassuolo of the current player sharing agreement (pursuant to art. 102 bis N.O.I.F.) concerning the registration rights of the player Domenico Berardi for a consideration of € 10 million to be paid in 4 years. The economic effect is positive for about € 7.3 million in 2014/2015 financial year.”
While the statement makes no mention of any buyback clause, it’s been reported that Juve do have an option on the player for €18 million, next summer, and he is widely expected to join the Bianconeri in 2016.

Juventus will also be bidding farewell to midfielder Romulo who returns to Hellas Verona, having spent a season on loan, while Alessandro Matri will be heading back to AC Milan.
Veteran goalkeeper Rubinho is out of contract as of 30th June along with midfielder Simone Pepe, who confirmed his departure from the club in a heartfelt interview in todays Tuttosport.
Speaking to the Turin-based daily, Pepe spoke of his time at Juve and what it meant to play for the Bianconeri over the last 5 seasons.
“Emptying my locker at Vinvovo was incredibly sad, however, beyond the sadness, I spent 5 fantastic years at an incredible club.” He told the paper
“I gave my heart & soul [for Juve]….also a leg. The club knew my sacrifice & have always reciprocated it with praise & love.
“I’ve an incredible relationship with the [Juve] fans, it’ll stay that way forever. I’ve 3 footballing homes: Teramo, Udinese & Juve.
“The worst moment at Juve? The CL final, after the game in Berlin I told my teammates ‘now it’s bad, but tomorrow it’ll be worse’. I wasn’t wrong. I went to bed at 6am & woke up at 6:45, I couldn’t sleep & I wasn’t the only one. Everyone was connected on WhatsApp.
“At Juventus, coaches & players come & go, but the winning mentality remains.
“Juve is more than a club. Chiellini & his wife moved to my place to help my wife who had just delivered, while I had surgery….and Storari, who waited outside my the door of my hospital room in Pavia until my surgery was over.”
“My number 7 jersey? I’m indifferent about who it goes to, but I think Dybala has taken it. We speak of a great guy here.”
