Opinion: Allegri’s delusional statements have become intolerable

October 9, 2022 - 5:00 pm

These days, Juventus fans would struggle to pick the worst aspect of the club’s ongoing crisis.

Is is the woeful results? The spineless performances? The absolute lack of character? Or perhaps Massimiliano Allegri’s post-match statements?

While the bad results and the poor performances usually walk hand in hand, the manager’s ill-advised words is simply rubbing salt on the wound.

While presenting alibis (like the number of absentees) is to be expected of an under-fire manager, claiming that last night’s hollow showing against Milan was a decent one is an insult to the fan’s intelligence.

The Livorno native even claimed that the Rossoneri didn’t put his side in trouble on too many occasions, even after scoring two goals with Rafael Leao also hitting the post twice.

On the contrast, Mike Maigan’s absence was hardly felt, as his understudy Ciprian Tatarusanu was only called into action on a couple of routine saves.

With all due respect to Allegri and all the accolades he achieved during his first stint in Turin, his attempts to convince us that the ship isn’t sinking are undermining our reasoning, and frankly, it’s becoming both irritating and intolerable.

No sir, the team’s display was anything but decent against a Milan side that appeared superior in every sense of the word.

And the first step towards redemption should be acknowledging the team’s shambolic state and at least admitting some of the responsibility for the club’s rapid fall to the abyss.

now Allegry is evaluating his options, the chances for him to coach again a big team are almost null, at the same time staying longer at juventus is going to destroy his career further more, and resigining will mean him giving millions away, allegry in a way he is waiting for things to even worsen up so the mgmt can try to offer him a deal to resign, because it seems allegry can survive longer than the mgmt in this tug war, and thanks for genius agnelli offering him 9 million a year contract for 4 years , so to picture this allegry is having agnelli by the balls while the fans are slamming allegry with the broom stick on his head , so lets see who will scream first , finally but not least thank you Agnelli for putting us in this situation

I don’t understand these morons hand picking managers for teams. What makes you think Tuchel even wants to coach Juventus or even be in Serie A? F**king lost millenials as usual?

allegry stayed at home for two years, and except for that mysterious call from real he got nothing which he bragged about and am sure he knew he was not up to the challenge, his ideas if he have any will not even work in spain, so now for allegry if things got worse he expect the mgmt to make a deal with him to resign like they did with aron ramsey , and if things started to somehow adjust themselves which chances are less than 10 precent , unlikely to happen, everyone will hail allegry again , so am pretty sure he is not in a rush, while the mgmt are boiling , and if the castle collapsed Allegry will have the minimum damage, and for him signing this year contract was like winning the lottery ticket and who swill give his ticket away, we as fans are suffering the most and i can say when we went to serie B we had more hope that we will come back standing we knew after a year we will rebuild again , but now we are all clueless because we dont know how long this thing is going to last, and will the mgmt contimue with same mistakes that started years ago , because saying the problem with juventus is only allegry is not true but he is the first problem and there is many other problems that should be resolved but one at a time.
