Today could prove decisive for the future of Serie A as the Lega meet to discuss how best to proceed following the Coronavirus pandemic.

Italy has been one of the worst affected countries so far with a number of clubs in lockdown while players and staff self-isolate.

La Stampa report that while the Lega Serie A is set to meet later today via videoconference, a number of clubs are pessimistic about the current season being completed at all.

During today’s meeting, several clubs could propose that the 2019/20 season be declared completed, while no decision has been made on who would be crowned champions, if anyone at all.

The report goes on to suggest that not all clubs are of this mindset and others believe the resumption of Serie A can only be decided by the government
