The summer transfer window was the main focus on the latest edition of RadioVS with special guests Fabrizio Romano and Massimiliano Nerozzi offering their own take on Juve’s long summer ahead.

The Sky Sport Italia and Corriere della Sera journalists were quizzed on what lies ahead for the Bianconeri as reports in the Italian press link Juventus to everyone from Paul Pogba to Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.

Discussions on Gonzalo Higuain’s possible departure kicked off the show as Romano offered his opinion on what the future holds for the Argentine forward.

“I think that Higuain, if he leaves Juventus, will go abroad to the Premier League, he’s still an important player. He’ll cost at least €55m, we’ll see how it will end,” He told Radio VS

“Rugani ? Juventus don’t want to sell Daniele and next year, I think he’ll find more playing time and space. If he were to leave it, it would be abroad and for no less than €45 million.

Romano was asked about the rumours of a possible return for Paul Pogba following his muddling season at Manchester United as well as the reports that Matteo Darmian is close to joining Juventus.

“At United there’s no intention to sell Pogba, I don’t think it’s a possible for his transfer right now.

“I think Darmian will become a Juventus player, they have been working on it since December. Juventus are also working on the renewal of Alex Sandro but there could be surprises there.

“Due to the injury to Leonardo Spinazzola, another full-back will almost certainly arrive – João Cancelo could be a possibility. I don’t think that Roma will sell Alessandro Florenzi, Juventus have always followed him but Roma don’t want to sell him, especially after the sale of Miralem Pjanic two years ago.”

The big Juve news in the past few days has revolved around Milinkovic-Savic and Lazio owner Claudio Lotito confirming that he has already rejected a €110m offer for the player.

“Milinkovic-Savic is not unreachable [for Juve] but Lotito is making a ‘wall’ around the player. To buy him, Juve should sell a top player, a bit like when they bought Higuain after selling Pogba.”

Massimiliano Nerozzi was next on the show and was asked about the stories linking Mauro Icardi to Juventus.

“No one at Inter denied the rumours,” Nerozzi told listeners, “the Icardi contract was seen by Juventus and Wanda Nara [Icardi’s agent] met Juventus.

“Pogba? There’s not much chance for a Pogba return: Manchester United don’t want to still him, his salary is too high. If Juve were to bet on someone, they will do it on Milinkovic-Savic.

“Higuain? The rumors about Gonzalo’s farewell are based on the desire to rejuvenate the squad and this year there were some discussions with Allegri, as he played for most of the season so far away from the goal.”

Spanish press have linked Pjanic with both Barcelona and Real Madrid in the last week.

“It would really take a lot of money to get Pjanic. I haven’t heard anything about this deal, Barcelona tried a few years ago but I still find it hard to see him leave Juventus.

“At Juventus they are interested in Bryan Cristante and Lorenzo Pellegrini. Cristante made his debut with Allegri at Milan and Max likes the player: Claudio Marchisio is a doubt, we will have to see if he wants to stay even, if he remains on the bench.”
