Whilst discussing Cristiano Ronaldo’s future, ESPN pundits expected the superstar to continue to deliver the goals despite reaching the age of 36.
However, when mentioning the fact that the Portuguese legend could be willing to extend his Juventus contract, Frank Leboeuf questions the motives behind such move.
The 1998 World Cup winner believes that CR7 would have a bigger chance in collecting another Champions League medal with the likes of PSG and Manchester City.
Therefore, Leboeuf feels that Ronaldo would only opt to stay in Turin to collect his enormous paycheck.

One hundred percent. Juventus are rebuilding and starting a new cycle. It will be one stable season before a decent cl push is there. locker room don’t want him, the divided fanbase is evidence enough and he’s not getting any younger. If he still wants to continue his legacy he’d be at psg or another French side winning there and establishing his legacy no matter what the wages. This is taking advantage because he knows it is near the end. Pure greed . #cr7out
Juventus are rebuilding without even one signing. Lmao, what are you rebuilding??
Ronaldo is only interested i Ronaldo. He don’t care about Juventus. He has a great pay check, and he walks around in his own world, not caring about anyone else. However, Juventus won’t get anywhere as long as Ronaldo is in the club. He scores for himself, but the club scores less, and win less. Get him out, or bench him. Juventus is better without him.
Ronaldo can’t be blamed exclusively for Juventus problems and limitations. The reality is that Juventus needs more players to fire and take the lead instead of waiting for Ronaldo to be the one who scores, show initiative, is aggressive, etc etc.
Totally agree
Juve was & is (just look at the last Serie A match against Bologna 1-4 -securing a CL spot with a benched Ronaldo) a better team (winning more & scoring more) without Ronaldo.
Thats an understatement, Ronaldo is not interested in juve paycheck. He pockets more from his side endeavors.
If Ronaldo wanted a bigger check he could’ve went to PSG or Manchester. He came to Turin to win the UCL and this is one guy who doesn’t leave until he does well on his promise. People are used to big names players who always run from club to club when things gets tough. Juventus only changed managers, signed no new players, so I wouldn’t say they are rebuilding.
Ronaldo left Manchester shortly after winning everything there was to win & left Real Madrid after coming from 3 UCL titles in a row & 6UCL top scorer awards in a row. This is a guy who leaves when he’s done enough, not because he doesn’t have more to give. If the Juve side doesn’t want to win the UCL collectively Ronaldo will be forced to drag them to it.
