Arturo Vidal has dismissed any speculation that he might depart Juventus this summer, declaring ‘why would I want to leave?’
The Chilean midfielder was linked with a move away from Turin last summer with Manchester United being the most likely destination and talk has continued over a possible move at the end of the current season.
Speaking to Las Ultimas Noticias, Vidal all but ruled out a departure.
“For a player the most important thing is to win trophies and leave a mark on people’s memories,” Vidal told the Chilean daily.
“It is hard to think about leaving when you have been crowned champions and you are part of a great team.
“The people love me, I’m fine in Turin and my family feel at home. Why would I want to leave? I get on well with everyone.
“The Champions League is a dream in which I believe, one we can fulfil step-by-step.
“We have to get past Borussia first. God willing we can get to the Quarter Finals, and from there anything can happen, even if our main goal is the League.”
