Following the tough defeat at the hands of Barcelona a week ago, Max Allegri presented a much more convincing Juventus side against Atalanta last Saturday.
The Bianconeri won their final pre-season test with in a 3-1 result, and the impressive cohesion between Cristiano Ronaldo, Paulo Dybala and Federico Chiesa was a pleasant sight for the returning crowd at the Allianz Stadium.
Whilst the Portuguese superstar was tipped to leave the club this summer, for one reason or another, he’s now set to fulfill his final contractual year with the Old Lady.
However, Allegri’s return could change the superstar’s status at the club, as JuveNews believes that the tactician’s words offer a clear indication on this matter.
After the match against Atalanta, the Italian manager said that CR7 represents an “added value” to the team. The source believes that what’s left unsaid was the fact that Ronaldo is no longer the main star in Turin.
When the former Real Madrid man first landed in Italy three years ago, he naturally cemented himself as the clear center of the project. Whether the recurring coaches liked it or not, the tactical schemes had to be built around the legendary striker.
However, with one year left in his contract – which is unlikely to be renewed in the current financial circumstances – it makes sense that Allegri focuses on younger players – the likes of Dybala, Chiesa and Kulusevski.
Moreover, at the age of 36, managing game-time could become crucial in order to maintain Ronaldo’s best physical shape, and Allegri is willing to help him in this matter.
It remains to be seen how much the player would be willing to accept these changes – if they were indeed true.
We expect and hope the best of Juventus this season…
Hopefully now we have a real coach again Ronald will be rotated like any other normal squad member. His greed has cost us donarumma and a lot of other targets which fans will not forget. Especially when he starts ducking in defensive walls and having a tantrum on the field or Simply giving up.
CR7 can never be rotated as normal player
Use your head man
Martin stop being so salty. You also giving a bad image on juventus. Do you see barcelona critisizing messi. Psg critisizing neymar and mbappe. Do you see ac milan critisize ibrahimovic
Fine we thought ronaldo was gonna win us a champions league all alone like in his real madrid years. And score hat trick almost each match. Its a deception on this point
But he was the most regular stable performing player of the last 3 years in juventus. And his performance always bring goals, you need goal to win match. Nobody care that you do pretty plays but lose games.
On entire history of juventus. Not even del piero was able to score 101 goals. 19 assist in 3 season (behind 120 goals). On the worst version of juventus. We have to be honest juv 2018-2021 is not the juventus of the late 90s. Early 2000s. Or mid 2010s. Maybe we should had stopped selling our best players out and manage well the retirements juve experiences
Altho, i think if we had a good offensive team. That has style of play like bayern munich. Psg. Real madrid. We could had won champions league with ronaldo. He has excellent finishing. Excellent heading. Excelent athletic condition. Excelent shotting. Good dribbling. The coach need to find a way to exploit those skills (have a offensive tactic. The usual defensive tactic dont work well with cr7 who loves to adrenaline rush and to joga bonito)
Ronaldo is as honorable as the golden generation of the 2010s. If he want to be a juventus legend he will need to win that champions league. Otherwise he would be remembered as a good player who gave juventus 5 titles. Honor. And individual awards
Ah yes, not to mention that Ronald also cost us the Champions League in 2017 and 2018. Oh wait, that was before he joined Juventus…
I see that he is greed, selfish, he eats, breaths, gets angry, …yes he is an abnormal player. However, there is still ‘normal’ within ‘ab-normal’…
Cr7 is Is a top player. Who else in Juventus squad?
Abeg, help me to ask dat martin of a boy
