Gazzetta Dello Sport via Tuttomercatoweb claims that Juventus has made the signing of Manuel Locatelli a priority in the next transfer window.
The former AC Milan man has been on the books of Sassuolo since last year and he has remained one of the best midfielders in the Italian top flight.
The report claims that he was on the shopping list of Andrea Pirlo in the last transfer window alongside Edin Dzeko, however, the Italian champions didn’t sign either player, instead, moving for Alvaro Morata.
There is still a void to be filled in the club’s midfield and the report claims that there is no player in Juventus at the moment that has the characteristics of Locatelli.
It claims that the 22-year-old is great at marking out players as well as setting up attacks for his team.
The report further adds that Juve will also need a new left-sided player when the transfer window reopens, but their finances will not permit them to have that much business done, so they will have to focus on landing Locatelli alone.
This rumour again points to the fact that Juve has truly now turned their attention towards signing younger players, which is a good thing.
Manuel Locatelli will indeed a great inclusion at the midfield. He is an excellent player who can contribute both in the defense and attacking third. A true midfielder that Juventus must cash on. However, Juventus got a tendency of creating a hype and then all of a sudden diverts its attention towards someother avenue. Manuel Locatelli and Houssem Aouar were in their rader for quite some time but they landed with Weston Mackenie. With no offense to any player, if Juventus needs to lift the CL title, they need to get onboard Houssem Aouar, Locatelli, Adam Tarror at the middle of the park. The with Rabiot and Bentacur you can have the strongest midfield thst can contribute both in defence as well as attack.A midfield that opponents should be scared off to face. With Arthur, Weston, Ramsy adding strength to the bench, the cluv will generate awa and fear amongst its opponents. Then the forward line comprising Ronaldo and Morata with Dybala, Kulusevski and Chiesa at the bench will turn out to be lethal. Invincible!
All said and done, one can never be assured of Juventus’ think tank and their modus operandi…which is quite inexplicable…
Juventus think tank kindly wake up please! Act sensible and quickly! Otherwise your actions are actually reflected in the team’s performance…
