Juventus will be without defender Daniele Rugani and midfielder Sami Khedira for this weekens visit to Udinese.

The young centre-back has suffered a  broken rib while Khedira has aggravated a thigh injury.

The German international was returning from a spell on the sidelines and featured in Juve’s 3-0 victory over Young Boys in the Champions League.

A statement on the clubs official site confirmed the details of both players injuries:

“The young defender suffered a fracture in the second costal arch of the left rib during the game against Frosinone, that prevents him from training and being available for the match against Udinese.

“The German midfielder, meanwhile, felt another discomfort in the left thigh flexor that will be evaluated between today and tomorrow.”

On a positive note, full-back Mattia De Sciglio returned to training with the group today following a lengthy spell in the infirmary with a thigh injury.
