Juventus are leading in the race to sign Fiorentina forward Federico Bernardeschi.

The Bianconeri have been following the talented young winger for some time and meets the criteria that Marotta and Paratici are always on the look out for: Young, Italian and with great scope for improvement along with the ability ti play in multiple positions.

Bernardeschi has yet to sign a contract extension with La Viola and is currently heading to the U21 European Championships, however reports in the Italian press suggest that the player will make his intentions clear in the coming weeks.

Tuttosport report that Juve are in constant contact with the players entourage, however Fiorentina are reluctant to deal with the Bianconeri and would prefer to sell the player abroad. The suggestion is that if the player prefers to move to Juventus, the club can begin direct negotiations with Fiorentina.

La Stampa report that Juventus are ahead of their competitors for the players signature, and that the Bianconeri project is ambitious: To sign both Douglas Costa and Federico Bernardeschi. It would be a difficult to pull off, but the suggestion is that a player could leave to help facilitate the deal, most likely Juan Cuadrado.
