Juventus allowed Paulo Dybala to leave the club at the end of last season after he ran down his contract.
He had been in talks with the club for a long time and seemed to have found an agreement over a new deal.
However, the Bianconeri withdrew their offer as he struggled with his fitness, and they allowed him to leave as a free agent.
The Argentinian has moved to AS Roma, where he now works with Jose Mourinho to help the Romans become a top club in Serie A again.
He is doing well and seems to have put his injury problems behind him.
After he scored again for Roma in their recent Europa League game against HJK, some Juventus fans want him back.
According to Il Bianconero, these individuals believe the decision to let him go was bad, and the current Juve team needs him.
Juve FC Says
Dybala was one of the best players in the world when he played for us, and we know his capabilities.
However, we have allowed him to go, and there is no point in following his career anymore.
We must focus on ourselves and start performing well with the options at our disposal now.
Well…
A good thing we let him run his contract down, told him (despite 1st making an oral agreement) we would not give him a new contract.
& then…
Whent & spendt a lot of money on Pogba instead…
replaced one chronicly injured player for another. Funny enough what we need in this team is precisely what he’s capable of doing. I can admit i didnt want him to return because of his unreliablity. But when he does play he usually affects the game. So far the only player for Juve this season that has been able to do that is Milik – but not in linkup play.
did you miss the last 1.5 year saga on his contract demands? Sliding down from vice-captain/future captain and 12-15M wage demand to a 5+1M salary at Roma is quite suspicious. Even prInter didn’t want to sign him in the end. Don’t you think that something went wrong for Dybala, and not Juve?
I’m sorry, but I don’t think he’s that good as everybody says he is.
Many games he was invisible and he’s not a player who can turn matches around.
He’s good, but definitely not world class.
You are spot on, he wasn’t consistent enough, a passenger in a lot of games
good point! Wher cr7 left, he was not a leader. And you don’t demand a 12-15M salary for playing half a season, and half of the time he played it was bad. By keeping him, we would have ruined the hirarchy. He clearly lacks discipline. Don’t make early conclusions. We didn’t have Chiesa and Pogba on the field yet, and the rest is being injured most of the time. One conclusion to make is that he doesn’t seem to be as injury prone at $oma as he was at Juve…
everyone has differnt opinion son dybala but i will say one thing, allegri being his coach and his manager being incompetent killed his juventus career stone dead. he`s having fun playing footbakl with a coach who can actually coach.
Again, spot on! Allegri stunts every one’s growth, by moving them all over the pitch and taking them out of their natural positions. He should move himself onto the grounds crew.
