Allegri disagrees with Juventus management over transfer target

June 29, 2022 - 3:15 pm

When Max Allegri decided to make his return to Juventus, observers believed that the manager will wield more power within the club in his second tenure and will thus have a major say when it comes to the transfer market.

Well, this latest report apparently adds some legitimacy to this theory, as the gaffer is reportedly not so fond of one of the club’s transfer targets.

According to la Gazzetta dello Sport via JuventusNews24, the Juventus management like Benoit Badiashile, but Allegri believes that he’s not ready yet for a role at a major club.

The Frenchman is a 21-center back who rose through the ranks at Monaco, becoming a pillar at the back with the senior side.

Last season, he made 24 appearances in Ligue 1, plus four outings in the Champions League qualifiers and six in the Europa League. He contributed in a single goal and assist in all competitions.

Juve FC say

Once again, it appears that Allegri is favoring experience over youth. Perhaps he’s right in his assessment – especially following the departure of Giorgio Chiellini – but Juventus could miss out on an important opportunity to sign one of the most promising young defenders in Europe.

We all remember how the Bianconeri were reluctant to sign another Monaco youngster last summer, Aurelien Tchouameni.

The midfielder eventually enjoyed a stellar campaign and the Italians were priced out in the race, with Real Madrid securing the coup this summer.

i despise slowlegri, but if you`re not giving him his choices why are they insisting he stays? make it his success or failure. if we miss out, then go to agnelli for supporting his boy no matter what and ask why?

Max has to start playing young players, it kills us financially when we sign older guys who have no transfer value later. He needs to be able to develop players not just coach.

Absolutely agree! We don’t want an ageing squad,we want fresh talent that can see us successful over a decade! Plus it’s oretty boring having 30 year olds being beaten to every ball! Personally Allegri needs to go…

Really. I dont remember being personally involved in this investment. That is weird. Is Juve asking you for your money?

There is no WE!!!! They are a business. You are a fan. Dont get the two confused. Yes they need us to survive but you are not part of the team. You are part of the fan base. There is big difference. We can refer to each other as WE. That is fine. And lets just let Allegri do what he has to do. When the year ends with no success then we can react. But we have to let him play with the players that can play his style. And its not like he doesnt want youth. But this guy is even younger than de ligt. If he is going to play Gatti, he doesnt want to leave him vulnerable with another inexperienced CB. Plus how do you know this is not a smear campaign against Allegri. You know there is internal strife going on a the moment within the club. One part wants Allegri and the other does not. Don’t think sports teams are any different then politics.
