Sportitalia claim Leonardo Bonucci’s agent told them he’s “working on a sale” while the player seems to hint otherwise.

Various Italian papers and TV channels ran with the story that Bonucci could be on his way out of the club after reports emerged that AC Milan had made offers for the player, however Juve were suggested to be uninterested in selling him.

The Sportitalia TV channel quoted Bonucci’s agent Alessandro Lucci as saying: “We’re working on a sale.”

La Stampa, Gazzetta and others alluded that problems between Bonucci and Allegri had made his situation at the club untenable and that he was looking for a new challenge while Tuttosport went as far as reporting that Inter Milan could be interested in the player.

Despite the rumours and speculation, Bonucci seemed to hint otherwise when he showed up for pre-season training this morning, posting this graphic on his social media:

It seems like a far-fetched story, but the reports of a bust-up at half-time in the Champions League final as well as the exclusion of the player against Porto might lead some to speculate that the problems between player and coach run deeper than previously thought.

Allegri gave an interview recently where he talked of Bonucci being the future leader of the dressing room while Leo said the Juve shirt was sewn into his skin. Powerful words, and the hope is that this is little more than media speculation.
