Beppe Marotta has all but confirmed the arrival of Emre Can to Juventus while declaring the club will continue with Max Allegri in charge.

Speaking ahead of Juve’s final league game against Hellas Verona, Marotta was quizzed on a number of transfer news items as well as the future of Allegri.

“This is a day of celebration. A champion is leaving us, but he is a champion because he left behind great values that were not only expressed on the field, but above all of it,” Marotta told Mediaset Premium.

“He will have to decide between some positions behind a desk or to continue playing. If he should opt for this second course of action, then Paris Saint-Germain would be in the running.

“We’ll meet with Allegri during the week and we have the conditions needed to extend this rapport. We’ll hear his desires, but in my view we’ll continue without problems.

“Morata always expressed sincere appreciation for Juventus and the city of Turin, but it was a very expensive transfer, so it’s practically impossible to get him back.

“Emre Can? I am very optimistic. You can read my smile…”
