Gonzalo Higuain looks almost certain to leave Juventus in the summer, according to Sky Sport Italia.

The Argentine striker is currently in his homeland to be with his sick mother, but previous reports from Italy has suggested that he had refused to return to Italy.

Speaking yesterday, Sky Sport Italia transfer journalist Gianluca Di Marzio suggested that the 32-year-old’s future might lie elsewhere.

“I believe that in the end Higuain will return for training with Juventus, otherwise he would expose himself to legal problems. Ultimately, however, I think he’ll leave Juve: his dream is to return to Argentina, to be close to his sick mother.”

Higuain has had a chequered recent history with the Bianconeri, having been loaned out to Milan and Chelsa before returning to Turin last summer with a suggestion that he had refused to leave.
