Reports from across the Italian press suggest that Matthijs De Ligt is poised to join Juventus, possibly next week.

News has intensified over the course of the last 48 hours of talks between Bianconeri management and the players agent, Mino Raiola,  and a potential transfer to Juventus this summer.

Sky Sport Italia continue to report that Juve have never been closer to signing the player with contacts ongoing over the weekend and into next week.

Corriere Dello Sport lead with the story that De Ligt has said ‘yes’ to Juve, is only ‘one step away’ from joining the club and the offer is of a  five-year contract until 2024 with a salary of €12m a year.

Goal Italia’s Juventus correspondent, Romero Agresti, says that contacts are ongoing today with Raiola and Fabio Paratici and confirmed that the contract will be for five years with the same salary.

Gazzetta Dello Sports Nicolo Schira reports exactly the same but suggests that Paratici is pushing to complete the deal sooner rather than later to avoid Paris Saint-Germain making another bid.

Corriere Torino suggest that after weeks of waiting, Juventus are ready to make their final push for the player with Paratici’s visit to Paris 10 days ago being decisive to their new ‘blitz’ for De Ligt.

It’s also reported that Mino Raiola believes Juventus would be the perfect fit for De Ligt and his relations with Nedved, who visited him recently in Monte Carlo, could prove decisive.
