This is definitely unrelated to the podcast, but I just read an article about Arturo Vidal. He was easily my favorite during the last cycle and I was disappointed when he was sold. According to Jorge Sampaoli (previous national team manager), Vidal had/has a drinking problem. Claudio Bravo’s wife said the same thing this week.
This is very disappointing, but it explains why we sold him so soon after the Ferrari crash episode in 2015. I just feel bad for him. I live in the US, but i was a lot more crushed by Chile’s failure to secure a WC bid.
