Juventus are ever closer to agreeing a deal for Real Madrid right-back Danilo.
Reports from various Italian papers and news channels suggested that Juventus directors had met with Danilo’s agent on more than one occasion and that the Spanish champions were prepared to let the full-back leave for the right price.
Premium Sport and Juve news site TuttoJuve believe Juve are edging closer to a deal for the Portuguese full-back who could arrive in Turin to replace the recently departed Dani Alves who had his contract terminated. Sky Sport Italia report that sporting director Fabio Paratici met with an intermediary for Danilo today.
It’s suggested Juve and Real could complete a deal for €20m which would be comprised of a €15m transfer fee and €5m in potential bonuses while Danilo’s could encourage Alex Sandro to remain in Turin.
Does he have a European passport?
No. Danilo’s signing would replace the signing of costa. It seems that management has decided to move forward with danilo and sign bernardeschi instead of costa.
Smart move!
Is he class? i admit to knowing nothing about this player? pace? power? passing? is he defensive minded or attacking minded. Obviously talented if he was at Real but would he fit in at Juve?!
he was class last year, but since Zidane came in he has been mostly on the bench. from what i know and see he likes shooting from distance and is quite strong, i can see him being a defensive update to Alves, but i dont think they can be compared in the attacking front.
Real paid 31,5 m in 2015 so he gotta be talented player.playing in europe since 2011 but i dont know if he owns EU passport.
Bayern playing hardball was the reason for us not signing costa. You would think that they would give us a little benefit factoring in the relashionship we have with them but business is business. I just hope they end up wanting one of our players again.
Hmmmmm… I would have preferred Cedric or Cancelo (more quick and more attack minded) Danilo is experienced lad and maybe even stronger than Steph but I have really wanted Douglas Costa..
isn’t Danilo Brazilian? it says Portuguese on the article..pretty sure he is Brazilian. and how would he convince Sandro to stay? Danilo isn’t Top Class, he is just someone with a lot of potential
I really know nothing of Danilo other than what many others – I suspect – have recently researched. He seemed decent in Portugal, and fine in Spain, yet has since fallen down the pecking order. Which should affect his price. 20-25m for a player his age seems reasonable, anything more is silly. We should not be spending too large on players unable to earn a starting berth at other clubs…
