There are growing reports that Juventus have agreed terms with Real Madrid right-back, Danilo.
With Dani Alves’ departure confirmed last week, the Bianconeri have made signing a new full-back a priority in the transfer market, and Danilo is reportedly the top choice.
Gazzetta dello Sport report that Danilo has already agreed to a five-year contract worth €5m per season, however Real Madrid are asking for close to €30m.
The report suggests that Juve will aim to spread the cost over a number of years while also including a series of performance related bonuses.
Sky Sport Italia and La Stampa also report that Juve are pressing for the Brazilian full-back and meetings are lined up for the coming week in an effort to close the deal as soon as possible.
Many papers and news channels suggest that Danilo happens to be a close friend of Alex Sandro and his addition to the team may encourage the left-back to remain in Turin.
WHY?!!! Paratici and Marrotta have done brilliantly when it comes to recruiting, but this makes NO sense. Danilo is not a top tier player!
You actually believe Juve will pay 30 mill and 5mill in wages for a RB? We didn’t offer that for any winger in..ever. Danilo might arrive but not on these terms
anything close to those numbers (5 mil. salary and 30 mil. transfer) for Danilo would be total nonsense! Specially if you know that Sandro is earning half of that amount!!
To be fair, sandro is overdue for an extension which would have been in the same region. I think 4m+ is a little high for danilo, but remember we paid hernanes 3m which was twice what dybala made. We have done worse. I think danilo is a smart move at around 20m. Very strong fullback; he will be worth twice that in a less hostile environment than the bernabeu.
Surely it depends on what his current salary is? He doesn’t have to leave RM. He can sit on the bench and just take the money (as he has been doing this season by the sounds of it). Many players are happy to do that.
A quick scan at football salary sites list his current wage at RM as 70k euro’s per week on a deal that has 5 years left to run. So that makes him a 5mil per year salary to maintain parity with what he has now. If he is coming why would he take a pay cut? I suspect that rumour that he is going to be on 5mil at Juve is pretty close to the truth BJ.
I don’t know what he earns at Real, but Juve cannot match it. If we pay 5mill in salary for a Madrid bench player, what should the others be earning compared to that? Not even Sandro, our best wing defender, earns that (though for him it would be justified if he did)
I don’t see it happen Dar, not on these terms. Juve has been squeezing the best price for everyone, I just don’t see them pay this much for a RB, while there are plenty of options out there.
And I really need to change my username to avoid that abbreviation xD
I will not use the abbreviation again then!
Its no problem comrade, just a rather unfortunate one for me!
No, I don’t believe they will pay that amount either. I just don’t think he’s capable in that capacity for ANY amount of money. I would rather give an unproven youngster an opportunity than play Danilo only to watch him fumble and cost us a game.
he isnt top class, but then again it seems we cant afford Top Class, so Danilo is a fair compromise, he is a good and promising player
It’s a shame that Dani Alves didn’t give us one more year. Either way we need a young full-back as Litchsteiner is 34 and possibly on the move as well. Danilo/De Sciglio/Darmian – I’d be happy with any of these three if the price is right. Sandro became a star at Juve and is now wanted by all the top clubs in Europe. Danilo could do the same in Italy.
