Juventus have a busy summer ahead of them with various friendlies and important dates for the calendar – Here’s a breakdown of what the next two months holds for the Bianconeri.
It starts with the summer training camp which is already in full swing and being attended by many of the primavera players as well as some of the seasoned pro’s like Sami Khedira, Kwadwo Asamoah, as well as Rolando Mandragora who sat out much of last season through injury. New boy Rodrigo Bentancur has also joined up with his Juventus teammates and has been involved training sessions for the last 4 days.
Juve initially had two summer friendlies lined up in Mexico to face Monterrey on 18th July and Tigres on 19th July – Both match have been cancelled at the last minute due to the Bianconeri’s heavy training schedule and pre-season preparations which made participating in the matches difficult.
Towards the end of the month, we can expect to see the Serie A fixtures announced with all eyes on who Juve will face for week one of the new campaign, as well the dates for the important matches against Roma, Napoli, AC Milan and of course, the derby games against Torino and Inter.
Finally, Juve will face old rivals Roma in Boston before heading to the UK where they’ll play Tottenham Hotspur in a friendly on 5th August at Wembley Stadium. A week later, they’ll have a chance to win their first silverware of the season when they face Lazio in the Suppercoppa Italia.
Seven day’s later, the Serie A season will kick off and Juve will be aiming to win their 7th consecutive Serie A title. A few days later, on 24th August, the Champions League draw will be made and the Bianconeri will find out their fate as they bid to make it to another final, and this time hoist the one trophy that has eluded them for so many years.
