Juventus are close to announcing a contract extension for Mario Mandzukic which will tie him to the club until 2021.
Tuttosport, Gazzetta dello Sport, Corriere dello Sport and various others all report that Mandzukic will earn between €3.5 – 4.5m over the next two seasons plus bonuses.
The deal is expected to be finalised in the coming days and an official announcement could be made after Juve’s match against Atletico Madrid next week.
Gazzetta journalist Nicolò Schira reports that Mandzukic was offered more than double his existing salary to go to an unnamed Chinese club, but turned down the offer in favour of staying at Juventus.
